My story
I am a wife and a mother of 2 beautiful girls. I began crocheting with small items like dish cloths as a way to relieve pain in my hands due to arthritis. That soon grew into a passion. I branched out into more challenging projects like blankets, bikini tops, and headbands for friends and family; often crocheting large joint projects with my oldest daughter. Over time I found myself drawn to smaller, more intricate designs and started making earrings for my youngest daughter. For every holiday, I put together a care package with 2-4 pair of earrings to celebrate. Soon, her fondness for crochet earrings spread to her friends who wanted to know if they could buy them. The next thing I knew she'd built me a website and Louiser (her pet name for me) Crochet was born! Thanks to those two awesome women; one who crochets with me and the other who reaps the benefits, I spend everyday doing something I love!
Where did we get the name ‘Louiser Crochet’?
My youngest daughter gave me the nickname Louiser when we were watching a British television show called “Doc Martin“. One of the characters in the show is named Louisa. But, as they were British, they pronounced it with an ‘R’ at the end. My middle name is Louise so she began calling me Louiser for fun and it stuck! Welcome to “Louiser Crochet”!
